Chapter 4: A Tragedy

Things seemed to be going so well for Jesse and Mae. They were enjoying their first winter in Dawson City. They where happily expecting a child in January. Jesse was using the dogs to haul freight and had good prospects for gold mining. But life has a way of turning from good to bad in the blink of an eye. What happened?

Using newspaper reports and letters to the family, the sad tragedy is explained.

Could anything have been done to prevent this?
