Important Note About Finding Aids

We're in the process of implementing a new system, which we think will make finding and accessing our collections easier. In the meantime, we are inputting all of the data as quickly as possible. This means online accessibility to our finding aids is temporarily incomplete. Please check out our new system and share any suggestions to help us make it more useful.

During this transition period, you can also access many of the old finding aids through our catalog. As always, but especially now, please contact us for assistance, and we'd be happy to help!

Note: The majority of our collection is not available digitally. Visit Alaska's Digital Archives to view items available for download. If you find an image here that is not offered digitally, contact the Historical Collections for more information.

Guides provide information about particular collections. Some guides are online or available for download as a PDF file.

Our indexes provide comprehensive lists of information, whether funeral records alphabetized by name, or biographies mentioned within a region.
